Christmas Parade

We took the babies to the Christmas parade on Long Beach Island on Saturday.  Sean was all set to ride in the parade in a real live fire truck, courtesy of Uncle Gio.  But when the truck turned on and the engine started rumbling, Sean had second thoughts and said the truck was "too big for me.  Maybe I go next year!" And so Sean enjoyed the parade with Mommy, Daddy, and Baby Clare - waving at the floats, cheering with the bands, and collecting candy(!!!!) from the parade participants.

Saying good-bye to the fire trucks and getting ready to go pick out a spot to watch the parade

Hi, Unkka Gio!

Mini-cars!

The Mid-Atlantic Delorean club was out in full-force :-)

Sean used his new megaphone to shout "Merry Christmas!"

"Charlie Bown and Noopy are ridin' on a fire truck!!!!!!!"

After the parade, we took the kids over to see Santa Claus. When Santa asked Sean what he wanted to get for Christmas this year, Sean quietly said, "jingle bells."  Then the three of them sang a few verses of Jingle Bells together.

After meeting Santa and the Missus, Sean wanted to get up to the beach.  So we went up to the beach for a walk with Mama Jackie and Aunt Rachel.
Love the beach in winter

After we were finally able to pull Sean off the beach, it was back to Mama Jackie's house to watch "The Polar Express" and have some dinner. It was a fun, wintry, Christmas-y day at the beach.
