Well here we are - 500 posts - a little more than three years after
our first post announcing the impending arrival of a certain little boy. I was trying to think of how commemorate this blog milestone on this babybook/scrapbook and I think the best way is to highlight some of my favorite posts.
The first is the post I wrote on Sean's due date - April 30. We were so excited to meet our Sooy Baby and "April 30" was a date that had held a lot of meaning for us for nealry nine months. When the 30th came and then it went, I think we were relieved, baffled, nervous, and a little unsure of what would happen on May 1st and there was no baby in our house!

But of course, Sean ended up making his appearance and it was amazing - he was amazing!

After following Sean's first summer filled with trips to the beach, sporting events, and just hanging around the house, we followed him as he transitioned from only drinking bottles to eating solid foods. Although he was NOT a fan of green beans, he did like sweet potatoes:

Sean's surgery in November 2009 for hydronephrosis was stressful, but we were so relieved and so grateful that everything with the surgery turned out okay. We were so proud of our little boy - he did so well with the whole hospital experience.

This post -
Sean's nine month Winnie post - really showed off how wiggly, squiggly, and roly poly Sean had become.
Sean started walking exactly one week before his first birthday and it was really fun to capture each wobbly, tottery, exciting step.

We took time to celebrate Sean and Pepper's relationship and I'm so glad we did.

Of course, the posts
announcing the Newest Sooy and that
the baby would make Sean a big brother to a baby sister are near and dear to our hearts.
Sean's first visit with Santa was a blast. It was fun experiencing Christmas through his eyes and getting excited about each and every twinkly light.

Our
trip to Spain was fun and it was so cool to experience a new country and culture with the Buggins in tow.
We started to encounter signs of toddler behavior. Hitting, biting and the word "no!" became topics of daily conversation at our house.

We welcomed the
arrival of spring by spending time
playing outside and trying to get last-minute things done for the new baby as well as enjoy being a family of three.
Clare's arrival in May (only 8 days late) was a joyous occasion and Sean was really excited to meet his new baby sister.

Since Clare's arrival our family feels like it's changing everyday - both
in big ways and
in little ways.
Even if we're too busy getting through the day to notice everyday, it really is amazing to watch Sean and Clare grow up together and interact with each other. We're very lucky to have this blog to document big and little moments in their lives - here's to 500 more!
